* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Archeology posts
« on: November 14, 2016, 12:34:26 am »
Aisling is no longer able to do the weekly archaeology links posts. We (staff) have noticed that the posts are rarely commented on any more, which raises the question of whether they're being read at all.

So we're posting a poll, to help us determine whether to seek a new volunteer to continue this longstanding TC tradition, or discontinue the archaeology posts.

Please feel free to explain/elaborate your poll response or otherwise speak to the matter in  a thread reply.

I really like the archaeology posts, but rarely find time to read them. If they're continued, I'll try to comment on the ones I read, because oftentimes they do spark my imagination. I honestly didn't think we were "allowed" to comment on them, since I didn't see anyone else doing it.
KARMA: You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I'd not noticed this feature/forum before now on TC... I'll have to / want to read at least some of the old ones now.  Thanks for making me aware of these!
peace,

I read them often, though usually only the ones about the Americas. I've found some really good and interesting articles there.
