Locations and Presence of the Gods
« on: September 24, 2020, 10:00:04 pm »
We all have that moment: where we're walking along, minding our own business, and then SMACK - you just feel their presence. It may be a place of value to you (or to them), it may be some random location that your brain told you to go to, or maybe you cannot remember the location but you remember the feelings associated with it. All you know is that this location is a spot where you can go to get closer with the Gods.

Where do you feel them? What was it like?

I like to be alone on rooftops. Matter of fact, I'm there right now, taking a break from making rounds on our 24th floor terrace. I know God still hears me in the basement, but I feel closer here.

Of course, being a building engineer in commercial properties gives me opportunities others might not have.

I envy you - mostly because I would love to see the views from various rooftops in NYC. C'est la vie.

For me, I feel Dionysos in more ecstatic activities, during liminal times and places. For instance, when I'm in the woods, I can sometimes feel his presence, especially when I go on farms that are very old and He has reclaimed them for his own.

Today, while apple-picking, I felt Persephone's presence for the first time in a LONG while. Calming. Patient. And tired. But that's another thread.

I hope to feel their presences tomorrow when I go to the Museum of Metropolitan Art and see them in the Greco-Roman temple/wing. Need to make sure I bring a money offering for them both, and my sketch pad.
