And no progress for me. I spent a chunk of the first week travelling to a funeral and staying with family. This week I've had a massive cold sore and swollen glands so I've been doing my best to rest round about decorating my daughter's bedroom. So not much rest really, I just haven't been doing any formal exercise.

Here's hoping for a better week next week.

Doing good so far. I skipped exercising today because I've been so good* about staying on top of it, but apart from that, I'm still chugging along.

Still waiting to have enough energy to go swimming. Hoping I can manage it today or tomorrow.

Rollerblade trip to the local hardware store to get piecesparts to fix the toilet. In the grand tradition of all Doom-It-Yourself projects, I didn't get everything the first time 'round and had to go back. Well, I got more exercise out of it, at least.

Me too, despite the occasional slip-ups. Today was a bit of a test: I had to buy a new pair of jeans.

The good news: I fit into a 33 W pair (my goal is a 32-inch waist). Now keep in mind that clothing sizes have suffered from inflation in recent years, and the comfort of the 33 W fit depended on the style and maker of the jean...but this basically means that I'm back down to my pre-Winter From Hell size. So progress.

The bad news: It's going to be harder to get down to a true 32 than I thought.
The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

One thing that helped: When I was considering getting some ice cream or skipping the morning run, I reminded myself I'd have to report back here in this thread on my progress eventually. It helped keep me on track.

I did bi's/tri's and legs today. And no junk food, so I'm happy. And tomorrow I start a new job (sandwich shop), so no more daily ass-sitting for Sasha. Hooray!

I want to lose 15 pounds. I've been on a weight loss journey for a year now (March 19 is my one year anniversary) and know from experience that this *should* be a modest and attainable goal.

I have lost 2 pounds. I've cycled through this 2 pounds a couple of times, so I'm not throwing any parties yet.

My confession is that I had an extra piece of chocolate yesterday (I allow myself a little square of 86% dark every other day, if I feel like it).

I got out in the yard 2 days this week. I started to feel overwhelmed yesterday at how much there is to do- I genuinely think it'll take me all summer, if not longer- but I'm trying to remember to take it a day at a time. The plan for next week is definitely two days, preferably three.

My diet hasn't been great this week - quite a lot of junk food and Easter chocolate! I did manage to get out for a couple of decent walks as well as building furniture though so at least a step in the right direction.

No weight lost yet but none gained either which I'm counting as a win given the afore-mentioned junk food. 😳

This weekend I did an hour of work in the garden and last week I (mostly) stayed within my calorie goals. This is progress!

I fell off the wagon and bumped myself hard this last couple of weeks. The lack of structure that comes with Easter break and a case of strep throat don't mix well with workouts. My total practice logged time remains at 5h 20m.

That seems to be going around. ;-)

I haven't been great about my exercises lately, either. I was working for 2 weeks, with a fair amount of physical work, especially lifting heavy things, so -- between that and being exhausted in the evenings -- I let the exercises go.

But I wasn't working this past week, so I should have gone back to them. But didn't. :-(

I will try to do my exercises tonight.

You are not alone in that.

I'm pretty much back to where I started the season, thanks to another surgery.  For now, it's back to being on bed-rest and using a walker when I absolutely must get up.  The procedure was relatively minor, so I'm hoping to be back on my feet with a cane within the next 10-12 days. Not quite ready to give up on that goal yet.
