* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Looking into a Celtic Path
« on: December 25, 2015, 01:06:38 am »
Hello, I'm fairly new here, I put a post in the Intro board, and then a post in the beginners board and was lead here due to some of the answers I have been given.  Long story short I come from a Catholic background, but am exploring other religions and paganism seemed to be one that interested me.  After doing a bit of research and asking questions in the other parts of the forum I've decided I want to learn more about the Celtic paths of paganism.

The reason being that my aunt has traced my moms side of the family back to Ireland, she knows what area in Ireland and even visited the hometown of my ancestors.  These ancestors were Catholic but I'm sure further down the line they were pagan.  That is what I'm interested in.  I want to learn more about the Celtic gods and goddesses and see if this is something I may fit into.  The problem is I need some help.  I have no idea where to start or even look.  The most I've been able to do is find book about Celtic history that is not bias.  I loved the history I read in the book but I'd like to know more. I'd like to know just how to get started. I would greatly appreciate your help.

My knowledge of Celtic traditions is somewhat less than extraordinary, and I mostly learn about them for comparative purposes with pre-christian Germanic traditions. However, I've found the following site to be of great value...

http://www.paganachd.com/faq/

(FAQ which gives, IMHO a reasonable overview of modern Celtic polytheism)

and of course, a fairly comprehensive reading list...

Good luck in your search!
