Hello, I'm actually cross-threading.

I was told to come and speak with those in this particular forum. I don't know how to cross thread, so I hope no one minds if I copy-paste.

Is this a call?

I'm not new to rituals nor am I new to Paganism as a whole. I've been a very generalized Pagan, such as I haven't worked with a deity nor have I really dedicated myself except to honoring nature and balance as a whole. I've worked with my own vague 'Spirit' sense, which I've felt has a male and female presence but not any particular mythological presence.

    Anyhow...

Two nights ago, one of the very last deities I thought would reach out to me might have reached out to me. In a dream. A very vivid dream. There wasn't war or desolation (as I would have thought), but a sense of peace and confusion.

The dream, rather short and edited a bit:

Morrigan, dressed in a black cloak made of feathers with very red hair, came to me in a dream of me dreaming. She gave the dream version of me wings, and spoke about things I wasn't privy of (if that makes sense). Dream me spoke with my mother about how Morrigan had given me wings, but I didn't know how to use them. My mother asked me if I performed the rituals like Morrigan instructed me to, which included jumping off my bed while willing the wings to appear. I said no.

I then told my mother that Morrigan had wrapped me in the universe, which felt soft like feathers and made me feel very much like a newborn in the womb. Also, right before I "woke up", Morrigan had shown me the stars and had placed them in my eyes, until my eyes were inky black and twinkling. I told my mother that the stars were my eyes and my eyes were the stars; there was no separation. So I walked into my bedroom, went to mirror, and took off my shirt. I willed, with every ounce of my being, for my wings to appear.

The mirror me went fuzzy, as if someone had softened my image, and then I felt the unfamiliar weight of the wings, the not quite coordinated muscles. It felt extremely real. The mirror came back into focus and I turned to look over my right shoulder. Sure enough, there were wings! Raven black, and so detailed I could see every lay of feather, down to the subtle blue hue. I asked "is that all?" because the wings were small (about a foot long) and I wasn't sure they could hold my weight in flight.

    End of dream.

Then the alarm woke me up and the day ahead of me was definitely one full of "Murphy's funny law". Everything that could go wrong, absolutely went wrong.

In short, how do I honor this particular Goddess? There isn't too much on the internet about her in terms of ritual or even what kind of incense to burn (or at least, I haven't found it). I've always been vague with my workings; this calling is definitely a change for me, if she did in fact call on me. I've never actually dreamed of any particular God nor Goddess, and honestly I stink at meditating (work in progress!); this is kind of throwing me through a loop.

Thank you for any information, advice, or opinions! :3

I, too, dreamed of a raven goddess a while ago. Mine was rather erotic, but she ripped my eyes out and put them in her hollow sockets. It revealed a bit about the world to me.

Anyway, about rituals. Studying Vedic Grhya and currently reading a book on Romano-British religion, has shown me that the foundation of any ritual is a sacrifice. In ye olden times if anyone wanted to get within a mile of his or her worshipable beings, they had to make an oblation.

This involves 1: a flame to represent the divine presence
2: an offering dish
3: the substance you are oblating.

Light a candle and pray, make invocations, meditate, etc. Then place the offering on the dish with thankfulness for whatever the goddess has done for you, or in hope that she will hear your prayer and answer. Later you can place the offering outside.

Maybe you'll get an idea for particular rituals to honor her with.
