* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Gaulish Reconstructionist Forum
« on: March 26, 2012, 05:53:55 am »
I am apart of the Gaulish Polytheism Community group on Facebook, and after trying to get a few forums started in the past on my own, I've realized that it might be easier and more appropriate to work through existing forums. If the people here would be interested, I can spread around The Hazel and Oak SIG Forum around the group I'm apart of, as well as several other Celtic Recon groups, and let anyone who is interested in traditional forums to come here for more lengthy message board discussions. Would that be okay?

I don't see why not, so long as they are willing to be apart of a "Pagan Interfaith" message board. I know some recons (and not just Celtic recons) have issues with less reconstructionist Pagans. Such people might not like TC much.

I've encountered this attitude a lot myself as well. It's sad, because I feel that in order to live in the world, you have to have a certain degree of tolerance for other people's ideas - even if you disagree. Still, I know many others who are peaceful cohabitants with pagans of many other stripes, so I will definitely let people know about your lovely forum :)

Is there anything else I should mention when I advertise this forum to them?

I guess the main thing is to mention that the Hazel and Oak SIG is very intentionally not a reconstructionist SIG and welcomes discussion from people who follow all kinds of approaches.

Of course if enough people join, are active, and want a specifically reconstructionist SIG one could probably be added if Hazel and Oak is really too broad or whatever.
