2019 Donation Drive

It's time for our annual Server Donation Drive! We need to raise at least $650 (same as last year) to keep The Cauldron's server online for another year. Please help! Either hit that Paypal button to the right and make a one-time donation in any amount or set up a monthly Bronze, Silver or Gold Donor subscription. You can find more info in this message!

Donations as of 16 Sept 2019: $660 donated. $10 more our minimum goal! Let's beat last year's total of $99 more than the minimum!

Note: This total is updated manually, usually once a day

* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

I've definitely heard of Nemetona... and I seem to know of Flidais.
The two that are in my life are Sequana and Sirona. I'm in the same boat!

Sirona is fascinating. I have always been drawn to her as well, but it has never gone anywhere.

Oh I know people have heard of Nemetona, but really its pretty much the same 2 little blurbs about her that you can find online..... very frustrating LOL
Really?  So, hey, want to go fishing?  I\'ve got a telescope, and it\'s going to be a dark night, so we should see the fish really well.
...what, I\'m not talking about fishing?  That\'s stargazing?  It\'s all doing-stuff, so it\'s the same thing, right?

Yeah, and then... do you trust those blurbs?  A few days ago I was fiddling around with info once again about Belisama, and was very, very irritated that one link http://www.celtnet.org.uk/gods_b/belisama.html  that not only has Sirona's image been used for Belisama, but the info listed regarding snakes has nothing to do whatsoever with Belisama.

It was through this link that I at first thought I was going to work with Sirona... and am so glad I wasn't misled.  In fact, I think most of the things "known" about Belisama aren't true.

Sooooo.... it's hard for me to trust anything on the web.  :(  What books have you found helpful to you regarding Nemetona?  I am finally toward the end of "Gods of the Celts" by Miranda Green.

Oh, also, have this one:

The picture? Sequana. X_X

Have you read Green's _Celtic Goddesses_?  It includes a couple of pages each on Sirona and Sequana.

You know, I think you sent me some copied stuff on Sirona at some time.  I still have that stack of papers upstairs on my bookshelf.  I probably have read that one. I know I have Green's Concept of the Goddess.

I'll run to go and look for that now on books.google.com

Sorry. I don't remember sending you info.  (I have a terrible memory.)  I probably included the sections from _Celtic Goddesses_.

Oh, no, my memory is horrible too; there are giant chunks of my life I don't remember. So, we're in the same boat, so to speak.  However, I did just go onto books.google.com and found out that while I don't have that book, my friend let me borrow it for a little while.  I also found the Animals in Celtic Life And Myth by Green, which is also very good; the sections that google would let me read, anyway.

I also really like her books about symbols and images in Celtic art.
