* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

The Creation of Turtle Island
The Ottawa Version

[Entire post removed for extremely obvious copyright violations. This long post is the main text from http://www.native-art-in-canada.com/turtleisland.html with a few minor word substitutions, like "Ottawa" for "Ojibwa".

Copyright Guidelines
We have had a number of problems with -- and complaints about --  the message board's strict copyright rules. Please remember that  material taken from web pages, newspapers, magazines, etc. is  copyrighted (and remains copyrighted even if you get it from a third  party, e.g. in an email message from a friend or mailing list) and may  not be posted without permission from the actual owner of the copyright  (permission must be included with the post).

Permission to email a copy to a friend as some news sites give is the  not same thing as permission to post on a public message board. Simply  giving credit to the original author is not enough under US copyright  law: not giving credit is plagarism, not getting permission is a  copyright law violation.

"Fair use" is only a couple of sentences or a very short paragraph from a newspaper, magazine, or web article.

I was going to use the storyline as a template but I was passing out at the keyboard. My apologies. I work nights.

Turtle Island, Gi'ichi Manitou and Nokomis are shared stories hundred of others as well as I grew up hearing about. Also, Ojibwe and Ottawa are synonymous as they are from the same regions and same practices. The Ottawa were the traders among the Tribes of the Anishinaabe and we also had the Midewiwin among our people- the same as the Ojibwe who we call our Older Brothers.

But yes, my mistake for hitting "post" and from hereon if I make a post i will use a notepad if I am using a page for a template to share resources and stories- incredible and educational tales from the wisdom of the Original People.

Please, those interested, read the tale posted above in the link. It shows how Nokomis, the Sky Woman gave birth to Man from Gi'ichi Manitou, the Great Spirit- and how Gi'ichi Manitou could not do it alone.

Merely stating that you are using X as a template when recognizable parts of X remain is still most likely going to violate copyright law.  Please post your original work only. If you wish to post other people's work with just a light editing (instead of a complete re-writing to the point doing a quick search on parts of your post does not turn up the original "template"), you will need to do so elsewhere (that is, not on The Cauldron: A Pagan Forum).

You misunderstood what I meant, but I will drop it. If possible, please delete this entire thread. I will abide by the forum rules.
