So, how did your deity(ies) first come into contact with you? How did he/she/they make their presence known to you?
I dreamt of making love in a beautiful golden temple and carved over a throne was "Freya," in runic. When that dream gave way, I was staring face to face with her. We spoke, but I can't remember what of.

That is beautiful.

When Hecate came to me, I had a lot of signs.  Kept coming across torches,  kept drawing the torch rune, felt drawn to the Moon card, kept seeing ravens, and finding myself at Y shaped crossroads (they're actually not that common around here).  But I don't think I would have noticed it if I hadn't felt so strongly drawn to Her.  I'd look for Goddess artwork online and I'd only be interested in the pictures of Her and the Morrigan.  Then one day She showed up in a guided meditation when I was expecting Sarasvati (it was in a class so the subject was given) and She told me that She had been calling to me.

The Morrigan was similar.  Her name and Her image kept coming up.  I watched a couple of YouTube videos that mentioned Her and I could not get Her off my mind.  I was trying to ignore it because I had promised Hecate already but I felt such relief one day when I went ahead and put a picture of Her up that I asked Hecate if She was ok with my working with the Morrigan as well.  She said that had been the plan from the beginning.  :)  So I did a meditation with the Morrigan and She came to me.

I'm very blessed in my matrons.  They have been amazingly wonderful to me.

Hecate is my Goddess as well. I also have an attraction to The Morrigan. There are some similarities between them.

My Goddess Hecate came to me a point of my life where I was very vulnerable. I was sick and desired power to heal. Before Hecate I had prayed to Quan Yin and found her a great comfort. I was fascinated by her story of how she saves people.

I began to research other Goddesses and came to Hecate. I was attracted to the witchcraft aspect of Hecate. I knew she would know how to heal me from my health issues. I began to follow her and saw her as similar to Quan Yin.

Everything about Hecate allured me. I loved that she empowered women and men, that she was related to water, that she was present in the earth and its healing powers. I consider myself a devotee of Hecate first and foremost.

My God, Jesus, came to me when I was small. My family is Christian and I became a Christian in my young age. I parted ways with Jesus for a time but he came back in my life during a time when I was very vulnerable as well and traumatized.

A woman who kidnapped me forced me to become a Christian again. She wanted a Christian to abuse. I was only a pagan at the time. I began to read the Bible again by force but Jesus still became a comfort to me.

Now that I am healing from what was done to me I see Jesus is not how she said he was. He was strict and indifferent in the way she described him but I find him gentle and kind.

A Reminder:
Hi Bluerose31,

We don't mind long posts here, but to avoid having a hard-to-read wall-o'-text, hitting "enter" twice every few lines adds some white space and makes it easier to follow - I've edited yours to add those breaks, but it's a really good habit to get into yourself.

They don't have to be the "proper" place for paragraph breaks (we're interested in readability more than technicalities), or a complete change of thought - some thoughts take a lot of lines and need to be broken up into sub-thoughts - as long as they're there.

This isn't a formal warning, just a reminder. No reply is necessary, but if you have questions or need clarification,  please feel free to contact a member of staff privately.

Thanks!

They never made themselves known to me when I first began worshiping them.  I just felt it.  But when I blot and do festivals I feel the wind from the North grow heavier as I believe the gods approach from Asgard and I once saw a Raven watching me during a blot (i'm not kidding this seriously happen, i promise on my life)
I am an alt-right Pagan!  Not looking for debates, I don't think my race is superior I just think that everyone should live with themselves alone.  However, the internet is a place for everyone of every creed.  I am into bodybuilding (GETTING MASSIVE GAINS EVERYDAY BRVH) and I love conlanging (Bee meen freend in ConWorkShop meen næm is Advark!)

So, how did your deity(ies) first come into contact with you? How did he/she/they make their presence known to you?

Years ago (about 7-8 years?), I was doing a darkness meditation exercise and had a clear vision of a striking older woman with a wolf coming to me and leading me to a standing stone that was polished like a dark mirror and showing me the darker sides of myself. I mistakenly assumed that this was Hecate and honored her for a while before falling out of my pagan practices.

About a month ago, I went through a personal tragedy that prompted me to return to my meditation and pagan practice for comfort. Because Hecate is a goddess of transition, I returned to invoking her. Well, in one meditation, she came to me and gently pointed out that a wolf is not a dog and that she hadn't called me all those years ago. But Hecate is a goddess who can act as a guide to other deities, so she took me and led me to a cave where I met the old woman of my vision.

She is the Cailleach, the ancient one of Scottish lore. She is also a goddess of transition, of both creation and death, of change and casting away that which is not needed. She has helped me through the last couple of weeks and hopefully will continue beyond. From her, I am reminded that things happen in their time. She also doesn't mind sharing her whisky with me when I make an offering.

In an odd twist, occasionally Odin also speaks to me in meditation and when I started my practice back up, I had a vision of him in front of the tree during meditation where he welcomed me back to practice and reminded me that I do have an awful lot of homebrewed mead in my closet. So I shared a little with him the other night.

So, how did your deity(ies) first come into contact with you? How did he/she/they make their presence known to you?

When I first started on my journey, I did not want patrons or to worship a deity.  It's funny how life turns out sometimes. I had two significant experiences that changed that.

One night I had a dream that I was walking through an underground tunnel. The walls and floor were made of packed dirt and the passage was lighted by torches that hung on the wall. Walking next to me was a woman dressed all in white, with a hood covering her face. She said nothing as we walked down this hall. We came to the end of it and it opened up to a small room with two wooden doors. The left door had a carving of a snake-like dragon in a circle. The other door had a carving of a tree on it. I knew that I was supposed to pick a door. I opened the one that had the tree on it. It opened up to a HUGE room with a giant snake-like worm (Jörmungandr). It looked at me and said hello. I woke up.

Thus began my relationship with Yggdrasil.

The second experience started while I was visiting Ireland over the summer. While I was there, I kept hearing a deep, old male voice calling my name. I thought I was jet-lagged, so I brushed it off. Once I returned home, however, I kept having a strange leaf covered face appear in my dreams. I looked it up and discovered that it was the Green Man. I meditated and asked what he wanted from me and the answer was to learn about and honor him. So I have.
