Kokopelli
« on: May 22, 2014, 03:28:41 am »
Anyone have any experience with Kokoopelli? I've been drawn to this deity recently due to where I live and this drought.

And since I'm talking about it...
Any wiccans or witches have a good asleep for rain?

No personal experience, but I've always heard positive things about Kokopelli.  Just watch out for all of those New Agey types, I guess, who're a little over-excited about Him?  And remember that this is one of those Gods who gets a little wild.
You're far enough south it might be worth giving Tlaloc a ring, too, for that matter.

After a couple of days of offerings and wacky weather, Kokopelli has me tired as hell. You were 100% correct about the wild thing. I'm a low energy sort and this guy is so not lol. Not that I mind, but yeah. You called it. XD

Yes, He has a lot if energy and he wants all of your efforts :)

This thread stood out to me because I haven't heard from Him in a while. I went on a Bahamian cruise last week, and I kept running into Kokopelli stuff everywhere I went. Thought that was a little odd for the Bahamas.  Here is a link for the artist if you'd like to see it.

It's beautiful. I like the colors; reminds me of an Arizona sunset.

I did more research on Kojopelli and found that he's a trader. This seemed right because I got a very "bargaining" vibe from him, but it was light hearted. I play Celtic music on my flute, and when I did so as an offering, we finally got a little rain in my area after 2months without. :D

Also, he's sort of a patron or fond of bringing cultures together. In some Navajo villages people will call travelers Kokopelli, because of his love of adventure and traveling. So seeing him in the Bahamas, in that light, makes sense. :)
