Good ways to invoke Hades

How might I go about invoking Hades, aside from libations and pounding my head on the ground? Anyone know of any good resources, link, tools I could use?

Well, I've got a copy of Disney's Hercules...have you tried watching it seventy-six times?

Just trying to be funny; this is not an area I have any personal experience in. Still, looking at the question as an outsider, how would you go about establishing a connection with a fairly well-known but somewhat reclusive human celebrity? In order of increasing effectiveness, this is what I can think of:
  • The direct approach: Write him a letter, and hope that it stands out from the rest of the fan and the junk mail.
  • Send him a nice gift, especially if you have some idea of what he likes. Don't cheap out, here ("Saving the good Scotch for the company, huh?" [/Brad Shirk])
  • Does he have an agent? Particularly if you have some kind of commercial venture in mind.
  • Are you friends with one of his friends? That's probably most effective.

As an aside, in my own walk I have found that personal letters written to Deity are highly effective, particularly if they are then "sent" in some ceremonial manner, such as burning. Note that when I say "effective" I mean, "Conveys my own thoughts and feelings and communicates a willingness to receive same from the other end," not, "Santa brings me just what I asked for!" There is a difference.

Just wanted to amplify on this: When I say "agent" I'm not talking an office, business cards, and "Don't call us, we'll call you." I'm thinking more of a type of personality. An agent is someone you can approach directly and say up front, "I'm looking to set up a meeting with Joe Famous," and have him respond, in so many words, "Yeah, I can do that, but I want a little something out of the deal. Say a nice dinner with the wife at a top-flight restaurant."

A friend is likely to feel offended and used if and when they realize that you have been using them as a stepping stone to the person you really want to meet. An agent realizes, "It's just business."
