God Attachment?

Has anyone ever gotten the feeling like you're Gods are attached to you, as much as you are to them? I say this, because lately I feel like if I don't pay attention to them or try something else, they always seem to get back in my mind and I always return to them. It feels like I'm destined to honor these 4 deities and no matter how much I try to maybe distance myself from them at time, they won't let me! Has any of you experienced this and any shape or form?

Definitely. At times they seem more attached to me than I am to them.

Yes absolutely. Thor called me and pulled me to him, rather than me going looking for a god(dess). He knows I need support and guidance, so he sticks around.

Most definitely.  I'm still trying to piece together the whys and the hows but Freyja is deeply interested in being involved in my life.

Sort of? I've never had an issue with space, per se. It's like some of them are in the theoretical *other room*- they're nearby if I need help, and they show up if I call them, but they're not with me constantly. (Or even on a weekly basis, depending on the deity)

I've been feeling this way a lot lately! Ever since Azrael made himself known in my life again, it's as if I feel him everywhere. Sometimes it'll just be a random moment where my focus is lead to him and and I kind of zone out lol

I have that feeling with Danu, she has always been here, I have always been deeply respectful towards her, (I'm soft polytheist, so I didn't know her name yet, I called her "Mother Nature" for years) but I don't do anything in particular to "worship" her or anything. She is sort of always there.
This may sound UPG, but to me she is ever patient and forgiving and very maternal, if I stumble (metaphorically and literally), she tells me to get back up, that it's alright, it happened for a reason. And I always imagine her (sometimes in a corporeal appearance, sometimes just pure flow of energy), smiling, nodding her head, and closing her eyes, you know just like cats when they're all happy and purring and they sort of blink for a long time or slowly close their eyelids.

So to answer more precisely, I honour her, she's always here for me, but she doesn't require anything, and gives me that feeling that I can worship whoever I want during the course of my life, she'll always be here.

Yeah, I get this too, with certain deities. I've also never had an issue with space, though, because I am quite firm in setting boundaries and having them respected. I think Sobek is probably also partly responsible for that, because He works on His own time, and that sort of dictates how other gods work with me as well.

I'm what some might call 'headblind' in that I don't experience the gods as being sort of constantly present and chatting away at me in my head, or otherwise 'there' in some meaningful way, and that, perhaps, makes this a different sort of attachment, but it's still there. There are just some gods I'll never get rid of, nor would I want to. They've been good to me over the years, and I've enjoyed Their company.

Maybe They're not always immediately responsive, because of that distance, and sometimes They're off doing God Stuff, and that's fine. And, y'know, there'll always be that random moment where a song plays on my mp3 player that I didn't remember adding, and get a ping from Hekate, just to remind me She's still there, and still cares about me. Or Sobek will remind me what His name means, or there'll be a slight breeze that wraps around me like Heru's wings. There's always something to remind me They're still there and that They still love me.
