* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Hello,

I would appreciate if someone can give me a brief introduction about Egyptian Deities and provide me some references, like books and websites. Thank you.

Are there any gods you're particularly interested in? It's a bit hard to give references for all of them. That said, Wikipedia's not a bad place to start. Wilkinson's Complete Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt will give you a good overview if you can access it too.

Here is a link to the Kemetic SIG's gods-and-mythology resources list.  YOu may also find the rest of the SIG helpful.

Special Interest Group.  Our SIG subforums are specifically focused on a particular topic, often with special rules about keeping more or less onto that topic - in this case, the Kemetic SIG is the special interset group for people interested in Kemetic religion, that being reconstructions of religious ideas from ancient Egypt. :)

Oh thanks, I will definitely frequent that area of the forum. Thanks so much.

Hello,

I would appreciate if someone can give me a brief introduction about Egyptian Deities and provide me some references, like books and websites. Thank you.

I regularly work with Anubis, who is the God of funeral rites, caring for the dead, embalming, safe guarding the soul during the passage, and weighing the soul against the feather.  I can tell you whatever you'd like to know about him.  And yes, I've heard all of the death-related jokes and dealing with an entity that safe guards the dead.  But when you discover the true nature of death, you will understand Anubis in a brighter light.

Wikipedia has a pretty decent article on the subject.
For he who has truly lived never truly dies.
