Games: Baldur's Gate III (currently on early access)

Over in the Recently Blogged thread this game has come up, so I thought I'd make a thread about it.

My spouse bought it for me one anniversary and then sulked a little that I hadn't started playing it yet.  So even though it was still early access I made a start.

And I'm absolutely loving it, as I did Baldur's Gate 1 (and, to a somewhat lesser extent, 2).

It's on at least patch 7 (been a while since I last had the time to play it), so from what Kylara said it's come a long way - I say that because combat doesn't seem to have the lag quite so bad now).

I've hours of time played but still on Chapter 1.  So I've no idea how big it's going to be by the time it's finished (potentially too damn big for my poor laptop, if I'm unlucky!)  And I'm desperately hoping that I can keep playing my existing saved game once the final release happens (although I'm not sure how that'd work); because if not then it's going to be a while until I've got it in me to start again from the beginning.

Has anyone else started playing it?  Or is anyone else waiting for the full release?
