Is that similar to poutine? Cheese fries?

*googles poutine*

Sort of.  It's french fries covered in melted cheese (typically cheddar, but sometimes with other types).  No offense, but the cheese curd and gravy thing you mentioned sounds kind of gross:whis:

Poutine (speaking from my pre-vegetarian years) is AMAZING. In my old home town there was a food truck that'd cruise around by the bars and serve poutine in paper bags. You can't get much better or sketchier than cheesy gravy-laden fries in a paper bag from a converted camper at 2am.

I really wish I had veggie-fied poutine right now.

My real vice food is oreos. I had to stop buying them because I'd eat a whole box in two days

well. real cheese curds are just fresh cheese, as opposed to aged cheeses like cheddar. It is a little less greasy and melts smoother. Sprinkle that on fresh, hot crispy fries, then douse in a really good gravy. It is a heart attack on a plate (or in a bowl) but is serious comfort food. One of the few that my kids would happily share as you need to eat it fast before it cools and the fries get too soggy.

Ok, now I really want to go to Pirate Chips and get some of their poutine.

Which I usually hate! Because I dislike the gravy so much. (Cheese and fries = yes, always. Gravy and fries = what? honestly?)  But Pirate Chips does poutine really well, complete with cheese curds, and so yeah. I can be real Canadian when I'm there. :ashamed:

I think everyone has a food that they just love and would be sad to see go.

Spaghetti with Prego tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.  I never get tired of it and I eat way too much of it.  Was the first thing I ever learned to cook as a kid and I still default to it if nothing else sounds appealing (or I don't want to put much effort into feeding myself).  My husband jokes that I'm addicted and should be put on a TV show.  :p

Oh, and beer.  But I don't think beer counts as a food, does it?  I drink a lot of beer.  It doesn't help that my hubby is a home brewer.

Mine would be olives. Green and black. Mmmmm.
What's yours?

Ethiopian food, hands down. The moment an Ethiopian buffet opened up near my house I was on it. The lady got so used to me, she'd let me fill up two containers and provided extra injeera for the deliciously painful ride home.

I will neither confirm nor deny eating both containers in one sitting. :whis:

Does that mean I can have it for breakfast?  Awesome. ;)
