FWIW, I'd rather be constantly shooing than feeding my cat something that could make him sick, even if I'd asked ahead of time and knew he'd need to a large quantity of it. Plenty of pets we keep don't know when "enough is enough", and can keep eating things even after they have just a bite. They can also eat things that can make them sick, because they just don't know (or, they don't recognize the scent of something dangerous).

Then again, I live with a cat who has a disability so he's unable to jump onto the table to keep trying to get at what I'm eating, so I generally don't run into this issue too often. :)

I obviously wouldn't be letting him just go at a back of lavender haha, just if he wanted to grab a bud from me again I know I could let him now. My cat tends to be super picky (refuses to eat raw salmon leftovers the fuss pot) so I'm not worried about him overeating it.
