If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Things Children MUST learn over Summer Vacation.
« on: July 11, 2011, 09:33:06 am »
Mom's and dad's  caregiver's  etc  feel free to add to the list! This  post is all in good  humor thou.

1)  When  mother  says ENOUGH,  she's   mean that is ENOUGH fighting and  you should  stop NOW, BEFORE  she starts handing out  punishments.

2) When  mother  kindly  tells you to  go take your  pills, she means  DO IT NOW   BEFORE   she starts handing out  punishments.

3) Your  younger step- brother is NOT  a punching  bag, please  learn to  keep  all rude comments to yourself and  if you can not  keep your hands to yourself  Mommy  will have to ask the  nice  police man  for  some handcuffs.

4)I know for a FACT I  said  " go  clean  your  room"  NOT  " go shove everything under your  bed"

5) When asked NOT to  do something by  ANYONE in the house, please for the love of all things holy  DO NOT  proceed  to  do exactly  what you were  asked NOT  to  do.

6) When  Mommy  just sits there  staring at you and smiling when  you are trading  mean  comments back and forth, this  isn't  because she finds it funny, it's because she's  thinking of all the FUN  punishments  she's going to hand down  once  you  2 are done   your little  war  of  words. YOU  should be  scared, very  scared.

7) Turn that  game  DOWN  does  not  mean sit there and  stare at  me like I'm  an  alien!!!!

8)  UHMMMM ... NO you do NOT  need to eat  breakfast  three times. ONCE  is  more than ENOUGH!!!

OK  so that  covers  my  boys  this  morning!!!

My  girls however  sleep till noon and  are  for the  most part are pleasant  to  deal with. This  being  said   the youngest  girl  just  got up ate her  breakfast and took the youngest  boy up to  watch t.v. to give me a  break. I'm starting to like that  girl again. LOL!!!

When Mother says 'hang up your ironing' this does NOT mean strew it all over the floor again.

When dad says 'oh just ignore what your mum says', this is your very loud hint to listen to mother very carefully and do exactly as she says.

Don't ever think that your mum can't see you and won't know what you are up to. You could be on the other side of the planet and she will still know that you are doing something that you shouldn't be.

Don't bother trying to tell your parents that 'yes, of course I've had a wash and done my teeth' when they can still see the juice stains all over your face and your teeth.

Pushing your sister down the stairs is not an effective way to end an argument. All it does is bring the wrath of the mother down upon you. (Yes, this actually happened.... )

This brings back sooo many memories.... I'm glad that my girls have moved out, lol. :)
"Bug f*ck nuts" should NOT be the answer when one questions their own sanity.:rolleye::

Screaming at your train tracks will NOT make them do what you want.  It will just make your mother go bugfuck.

guess what we're doing this morning.

OHHHHhhhh  maybe that's what I'm doing  wrong, I  forgot to tell them to  STAY STOPPED!  One would think that at the ages  of  17,14, 12 and  9  thou they would  understand  that STAYING STOPPED is implied!!!

I'm actually waiting for this one to happen, I  am seriously considering  getting those  foam  play mats and  putting them at the bottom  of the  stairs, there has  been a few close  calls.

well true  but I don't  play  the  games, I  really have  no clue  how to even turn the game systems on. I am however  guilty  of  yelling at  Lego but only when it is  embedded  in my  feet!!!!

There have been many a days listening to my mother scream and swear at her games on the computer. It's as equally unpleasant as listening to children do it to their games. Heh. The phrase "Yelling at it won't make it work any better!" doesn't work, too. :D

Same here! I've had Legos, Polly Pocket crap, and Barbie crap embedded in my feet over the years. I've yet to figure out how that crap got into MY room, when they never played with it there.
