The souls of plants
« on: April 22, 2014, 09:05:57 am »
One day while I was reading in the woods. I got to thinking, I believe in reincarnation, although I think whether or not you get reincarnated is up to you. but I thought if every living thing has a soul, then that includes plants. You can be reincarnated as a bug so why not a tree. So that tree outside your window could have been a human once.

My whole world view shifted before my eyes

Near our front porch we have a rosebush that I can sense the soul of right easily. She seems seems human, but I get she is truly non-human. Sometimes I can see that plants, trees, and the grass have souls.

It is really neat how being out in nature can change our world-views. :)

When I planted my tree and flowers this spring, I felt like I was tending to one of my dogs...like it was a cherished friend. I live in the desert, so I felt like I wanted to spoil my plants with water and fertilizer and they flourished.
Then the rabbits had a bunch of babies and ate the heck out of my flowers. They keep trying to grow back and the rabbits keep eating them lol. Time to get chicken wire.  I feel kind of bad because those plants are probably like, "hay-elp!"and I just haven't had time to get them all protected. Good thing their "hair" grows back! XD
