I wake up a bit dead

I wake up a bit 'dead' too.

My morning ritual used to consist of starting the day with a cup of tea, but it's been scaled back and scaled back, until my weekday mornings now look like this:  snooze the alarm until the last possible moment, rush through the bathroom, throw clothes and shoes on and rush out the door for the train to work.

Still start the day with a cup of tea on the weekends though.

Might I suggest singing a song like this first thing. It has 4 verses so you can sing one at each direction in the morning.

My entire morning routine is pretty much a set-in-stone ritual, in the interest of not having to make any decisions first thing. It goes something like:

Get up, put kettle on. Make lunch and breakfast (both always the same thing, too) while waiting for tea to be ready. Breakfast, then grooming and getting dressed, then morning prayer. Then a little reading until it's time to catch the bus.

1. Curse at the alarm and turn it off.
2. Go pee and pinch a loaf.
3. Get my coffee. If I played my cards right and set the coffee maker the night before, it's ready.
4. Brush teeth, shave head (I have a full beard).
5. Shower.
6. Get dressed.
7. Go to my shrine, prepare for my puja, do puja.

Am I the only one thinking TMI?

But thanks for sharing, no-one can say you're not forthcoming!

I wake up in the afternoon because I work evenings.  Lately I just have coffee, read a bit, and cuddle with the cat.

But I often perform devotional offerings, too.  At the very least I say a short set of morning prayers I wrote for one of my "good angels," as I call them.
My personal moral code:

Love wisely, and do what thou wilt.
