Making the Mundane Sacred

In what ways to you turn seemingly mundane acts into spiritual/religious ones?

Do you think that this sort of multi-tasking diminishes or enhances your spiritual/religious experience?  Should religious/spiritual activities be separated from those that are mundane?  Or should just the opposite be true - that we should try to integrate our mundane and spiritual/religious lives as much as possible?

Living a life of contemplation is spiritual to me and that requires acknowledging the  mix of mundane and religious. They enhance the meaning of each other. However, while multitasking like this feels natural, the mundane can interfere at some junctures. Realistically, it has become a luxury for me to unleash my mind fully to the spiritual. So I value making some spiritual activities separate in order to allow for that.
