I finished my first shift this evening! I opened with a short devotional last night, kept the candle on my stove through the day while I did some needed housework on the kitchen dedicated to Brigid, attended a local Heathen class (not necessarily related, but it's what I had scheduled), had some time to meditate on the flame this afternoon and then cooked up an awesome dinner, with some left over for Her. My daughter and I closed the shift together by saying a little prayer.

Overall, it was a really lovely experience, and I am glad to have the opportunity to honor Brigid in a tradition that has carried on for so long. Thank you again, everyone, for having me here in the Cill
