Draft prayer? poem? for Brighid

You've probably seen my others in the writing section. Anyway I just started work on another piece for Brighid as my shift comes up in 2-3 days and felt I should write something special for that. I decided to share with you all to see if anyone has any input or ideas about better ways to say things. Maybe it will inspire somebody.


Hail Lady Brighid!

As I kindle Your flame
I join the Cauldron Cill
In keeping Your flame
As the ancients did

Over nineteen days as
Priestesses at Kildare did
The twentieth day You alone
Keep the flame burning

We who honour You
Keep Your flame alive
Wherever we may be
Across the many lands

We are brought together
Joined in Your worship
We ask you to watch over
And bless us this day
