I'd like to welcome those new members joining (or thinking about joining) The Cauldron: A Pagan Forum because the Mind-n-Magic forum is closing down after many years. TC isn't Mind-N-Magic -- we can't be as we've grown our own way in the last 13 years since we open on Delphiforums, but we try to be a place for Pagans and their friends to discuss Pagan religions, experiences, the occult, magic, and everyday life.

Our message board is organized somewhat differently than Mind-N-Magic, but I believe we have areas to discuss just about everything one might want. We are always open to adding areas if their is a lot of interest -- and on this new software, members can start there own Groups for subjects that will not generate enough discussion to justify a forum of its own.

Our board rules are designed to facilitate discussion and debate while preventing personal attacks. They are mostly common sense and are here because they work for us -- we've had over 13 years to develop them. Two rules do trip up newcomers, however. The first is that we require quoting on most replies (to the point that we've set the board software to make it very hard not to quote): see our Quoting Guidelines. Some people really hate this required quote rule, but once members get used to it they usually find that having quotes really does make discussions much easier to follow.  Second, we have lots of staff, so with don't allow members to play moderator and tell other members how they should post, who they can post to, etc.

We have a chat area: CauldronMUX. It is probably much different type of  chat are from what you are likely used to, but many of our members really enjoy  it.

If you find you like TC but something that was really nice on Mind-N-Magic is missing, please tell us about it. We many or may not be able to provide it (or something like it), but if no one mentions it there is little chance it will just show up on its own.

I used to belong to that forum, so I look forward to seeing former members around here!
