ADMIN: Post Count Adjustments
« on: July 02, 2012, 10:02:21 am »
The way posts are counted (for the total post count the board lists) has been changed. Post to the "Introductions" forum and the "Humor & Quizzes" folder no longer count toward your post total (but they still count for the "Experience" point system). Chances are good if you post a lot to these forums, your post count went down.

I made this change because we needed the post counts to more accurately reflect "on-topic" discussions for statistical purposes. Many people post a lot of welcome replies and/or post a lot in our Humor forum -- there's nothing wrong with that, but the large number of these posts was making it hard to see how active people are in our discussion areas.

I'm no longer the one with the most posts.  Yay?

Eh, I'm fine with the adjusted post count.  It's much more honest, although I am curious as to how many of those posts are staff-related.  I imagine a great deal.

Damn.  Does that mean I'm out of the running for the new convertible?

Perhaps you'll be selected for our "Big Deal" where you can risk your post count on a chance for what's behind door 1, 2, or 3. Who know, a convertible might be behind one of those doors -- or you might get a fine collection of spam.

I bought some of that for my mother-in-law. She collects unicorns. We're not planning to actually open the can.

Could use a new car, though. Hubs car has a transmission issue. Guess I need to come back and post more... lol...
