I <3 the Girl Genius!!!

Currently not reading anything - trying to find my damn Dionysos book that I was studying for some time now. ugh.
Nearly finished with HH The Dalai Lama & Thubten Chodron's wonderful "Buddhism: One Teacher, Many Traditions." I am enjoying it far more than I expected, though I wish there were more information included regarding Japanese Buddhism...

Currently I'm reading The Language of Medicine, Clinical Procedures for Medical Assistants, a coursepack on Medical Admin Procedures in British Columbia, a coursepack on EMR and Billing as well as the help files in the EMR, and Memmler's Human Body in Health and Disease.

I'm also trying to remember a time when I read anything that wasn't related to school. I think...maybe August? No, that can't be. It can't have been so recent. Surely it was another lifetime....

Anyway, really hoping I can catch up on my non-school reading on the few holidays we have this semester and then over winter break.

A disorganized mass of Cantonese language-learning materials, mostly.  A properly organized and highly recommended beginner course is scheduled to arrive in the mail soon.  Hopefully it lives up to expectations!

Best of luck learning the new language! :D

Just finished What If It's Us by Becky Albertalli and Adam Silvera. So many good feels from that book (mostly from my inner gay teenager self).

Now to find my next book...

I'm reading Kiss of the Spider Woman by Manuel Puig. It's interesting so far, it only has dialogues and footnotes. Sometimes you're not sure who's talking.

Currently reading Trance-Portation by Diana Paxson, and I just finished Ashael Rising, which is by our fellow Cauldronite rocquelaire. Ashael Rising was really good and I had a lot of trouble putting it down; the only reason I did was because I was still in the midst of finals and really had to sleep and study.

For relaxation:  re-reading Feet of Clay by Terry Pratchett (soon to re-read Hogfather, too, as my Yule tradition).

For a bit of research:  Burning Woman, by Lucy H Pearce

Pratchett is my ultimate comfort read (which means I too re-read several Discworld novels including Hogfather over the last couple of weeks)!

Right now I'm slogging my way through the end of T.M. Luhrman's Persuasions of the Witch's Craft (it has been slow going because I read a couple of paragraphs and then feel the need to make a page worth of notes!), interspersed with The Witch's Altar by Jason Mankey and Laura Tempest Zakroff, and a couple of YA novels: The Queen of Sorrow by Sarah Beth Durst and Being Magdalene by Fleur Beale, both final books in trilogies that I've enjoyed so far.

I'm finishing up The Origin of Satan, by Elaine Pagels which we have been discussing in a church group.

Me too!

For Christmas, though, I was given: Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman so will be starting that soon.

Still about halfway through Hogfather as I write (and haven't made any more progress on Burning Woman as have been off work so not taking the train & doing that stretch of reading for the past couple of weeks).
