as a bit of a newbie to wicca and studies pertaining it, i figure i should take each text with a grain of salt. so i'm curious what some of the more seasoned solitary witches that have read it think. are there any outstanding inaccuracies? and i'm curious what some think of the self initiation ritual included? thanks!

Well, after reading its one, one-star, highly critical review on Amazon-- and noting the reviewer's solid reasons-- I'd give this one a pass. Even at the $0.23 listed price.

yeah, i got a bit of a weird vibe from it, like it felt very artificial to me for some reason. sorta like those "magic for teens!" books that tell you to put the name of your crush in your shoe to get them to talk to you. i think i'll go check the review out...

I think I have that one. If I do it has nothing you can't find on the internet. The ritual was nothing more than herbs, anointing oil, candles, and dedication intent.

If you want to do a dedication ritual spend some time working out your thoughts, write down what you want to accomplish and how excited you are that you can now be the person you want to be. You can wait for the right moment or wing it like I did.

I ran out into a thunderstorm and shouted into the raging wind. I also jumped into my pool. I was 16 and totally into drama. It felt right at the time and I didn't get struck by lightning.
