* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Could anyone point me towards a good book on herbs for beginners? I'm looking more for info that I can use practically, if there's anything like the "Crystal Bible" out there somewhere?
Thanks for any and all replies made :)

Depends on what you're looking for. Are you looking for magical uses for herbs? Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs by Scott Cunningham or the Compendium of Herbal Magic by Paul Beyerl are both good encyclopedia-type references for the magical properties of just about every herb you can think of. Want a general reference book? My go-to is Rodale's Illustrated Encyclopedia of Herbs. They not only list some of the cultivation requirements, but give some of the history of that herb and it's most common uses (both food and medicinal), and also have sections for special things you can do with herbs, such as using herbs for dye.

If you're looking more into the medicinal I don't have as much for you (I recently bought the PDR for Herbal medicine but that's not exactly the kind of book you read, it's intended as a reference). I would imagine that Beyerl's Master Book of Herbalism would probably be a good resource for that, though I don't own the book I'm only judging by my impression of his other book I own. A Modern Herbal by Maude Grieve is also a good source, and it's available for free online at https://botanical.com/ just remember to keep in mind that it was written in the 1930's and so the medical advice should not be trusted as current best practice.

I have two herb books:

The Culinary Herbal, by Susan Belsinger and Arthur Tucker: as the title suggests, is focused on culinary herbs and their cultivation; it has information about herbs from Asia and South America as well as specific cultivars of common herbs such as basil. I admit, though, that I bought it mostly for the gorgeous photography.

Hidden Natural Histories: Herbs, by Kim Hurst. This is focused on lore, including historical, magical and medical uses as well as medical warnings. It doesn't have any actual recipes though. Each herb is illustrated with a watercolor picture. This book also has several obscure/uncommon herbs as well as the better known ones.
