* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

I've never heard of the book and the limited info on the web site tells me very little. However from this statement "It  cleverly outlines various real world applications of metaphysical and  psychological phenomenon including topics ranging from post hypnotic  suggestion to crystal ball scrying and astrology", I expect it is more of an overview that anything else. I certaily would not spend money on something like this sight unseen.

Never heard of something like this.  I gotta say it sounds ridiculous.  I would really like to know what kind of creditably the author has on either magic or martial arts.

I notice that on another forum you joined this book was also the subject of your first and so far only post, and the website for this book was listed as your favourite site.  Do you have a connection with this book or author?  Perhaps you could go into more detail about why you are boosting the book at pagan fora.

This may be my web-snob side showing up, but if it appears on angelfire or tripod, I'm likely to doubt its legitimacy.

I'm thinkin that this is just spam.  Martial Arts does have a lot of nerve strikes and books about that, but magic?!?  No.  Sounds like something a gimmick school would try to sell, sadly there are a lot of these places.

This. I am a martial artist and while it puts me in a more of a "magical state" (But that's just me. My level of passion and concentration while doing it definitely leaves me in a state where doing magic is easier for at least a day...but again, that's just me) it's not magic in of itself.

Same here.  I LOVE it and it really does wonders for focusing and clearing my mind.  I have to say I'm rather annoyed with this concept of black magic being combined with martial arts; it just reeks of someone that has serious ego issues and just wants to appear like they are hardass.  And finding a decent enough school is more than enough in and of itself to be effective, also it should take years to really work on refining and getting good at what's being taught, IMO.

I've decided you are right. It turns out the email address this person signed up with has the first part of the site address as the username. That's enough for me to declare this person's first and only post as spam.

Yeah, SPAM recipes are a long-time Cauldron tradition.  Did you see mine with the spam-grape juice - marshmallow frappe popsicles?

Oh yes I saw that.  I thought I had replied about my revulsion/admiration to that.   I think if I made those and gave them to my cats, they would lick their butts just to get the taste out of their mouths.  Than again, I'm an extraordinarily bad cook.
