Books on Ancient & Modern Mythology?
« on: February 07, 2014, 09:44:14 pm »
Is there a book on ancient and modern mythology?  I don't need a book written by an academic, since those tends to be dry and boring.  If the book is written from a pagan perspective, then that's a plus but not a requirement.

Thank you all for your help!  :)

Well, what mythology are you focusing on? Gaelic, Kemetic, Greek, Roman, etc? We'd need more information to recommend anything to you.

The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Mythology, by Arthur Cotterell et al. is an excellent starting point. It's huge, but it has lots of information and illustrations regarding mythology from all over the world.

In that case, Louisvillian gave you a suggestion. I've never heard of it myself, so I can't give any opinion on it. But, if you're looking for resources you should check out the board's SIG's.
