Appalachian mountain magic
« on: January 12, 2021, 11:08:39 pm »
Okay... I'm new here, so please bear with me if I'm doing something wrong in asking this; I tried searching and haven't seen any posts on this topic in several years, so hopefully it's okay to ask!

I have a budding interest in Appalachian mountain magic (driven by my own heritage and growing up in Tennessee), and I would love some recommendations for reading on the subject, if there's any to suggest.

I'm a pagan newbie and still very much learning and building my practice, so this may not be something I start actually incorporating into my work yet... but even so, I would really love to learn what I can.

I am currently reading "Staubs and Ditchwater" by H. Byron Ballard, which is an excellent jumping-off point. Just wondering if there's any suggestions beyond this too.

Thanks all!

Welcome to the Cauldron! And don't worry, questions are always welcome too  ;D That's what we're here for!

I personally can't help with this one, since I'm only familiar with Appalachia through fiction. But I believe we have some members from around there who hopefully will chime in.
