Ideas/Planning for the New Forum

I have a reasonably clear memory of saying, in chat, that the older version of SMF hadn't had one, so the new one might well not either, or if it did, it would likely be an add-on (as indeed it is here on VB) that we might not opt to add on - and that I would be against adding it on, if Randall were to consult his staff about it.

The new version does have a rep system, but I believe I have greater control over it (as in I may be able to take away the ability to use the rep system from individuals who abuse it, limit giving negative rep to certain usergroups, etc. I haven't really looked into it much.

There is also a "like" system where people can like individual posts as I recall. No comments assorted with it, however.
