* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

How to view group pages
« on: August 25, 2011, 12:01:22 pm »
I just created a group page for Doors of the Sky.  It seemed to disappear to into the ether.  I don't see a link to view group pages.  I know you can view the title page, but that's the only one.

How do I bring up the page?

Thanks,

Nehet

You have to create a link to that new page on a page already up and visible -- perhaps the title page.  If you can remember the new page's title to create a link, give me some info on the new page and were it is to be linked from and I'll hunt it up for you.

It would have been called "prayers to Nut".   Thanks, Randall.

The group "Through the Doors of the Sky" is saying it does not have a start page, You'll need to create a start page for the group (from the group's page) before I can connect this page to it.

If it helps, it popped up on my "new posts" page as a new Wiki post. Prayers to Nut

Unfortunately that does not help. I need Nehet (or whoever owns the group if it is not Nehet) to go to the Group's "main page" and and add a group start page under the "Group Pages" header on the group's page at http://www.ecauldron.com/forum/group.php?groupid=10 Once that page is created, it will automatically appear under Group Pages and the Prayers to Nut page can be added as a link on that start page.

Really?   I'm seeing that it does have a start page, called "relevant links."  So far it only had one link, although I added the new page to the list of links.  That should make it easier for people to find it.

I was trying to change the title of the start page to "Prayers and Meditations."  I think that will make it easier for people to find what they're looking for.  It won't let me change it "unless I really know what I'm doing."  Um, I really don't know what I'm doing.  Is there a way to get it changed?

Thanks for your help!

By the way, if I wasn't a nice person, I could totally edit this:

Should that be locked in some way?

If there is a start page for your group it's not letting me see it or even telling me one exists (it specifically says one does not exist when I go to your group's main page). Perhaps because I'm not a "real" member of the group (as in I just see into the group because I'm an Admin)? If so, how weird as Admins should see everything.  If this is what is going on I think I need to file a bug report. Sorry if this makes no sense.

I see you've given me a direct link to the start page in a later post. Thanks. I'll see what I can do.

Probably, but I doubt there is much someone could do to the page as it is mainly just a "space-holder". But I will go lock it just to prevent spammers from using it.
