Different issue with new group messages

I'm noticing that when I go to check groups for new messages (because on the main page it's flagged as having new messages) for CERTAIN groups, none of the topics are flagged properly. In these certain groups, all of the topics appear as read, even though I know for sure I haven't.

I'm having this happen so far in the Through the Doors of the Sky group, the Kink & Spirituality group, the GLBT group (this one also occasionally has the issue as always saying there are new messages, even when there isn't -- although at the moment it seems to have fixed itself), and the Healthy Living group.

Miscellaneous information: I'm using Windows 7, Google Chrome browser, and selecting the "Mark all discussion read" in the group options doesn't bump me to a white page, but neither does it resolve the main page issue.

Not expecting this to be fixed, but I just thought you'd want to know if there was an issue.

This is in the social group and on the main page. It shows the topic (and another, which was updated that same day) as being read already... even though I haven't read it yet.

New messages simply does not work reliably (or perhaps "does not work as expected" would be a better description) for social groups. This is apparently a known issue that is not high on the "fix" list for the designers.

Mark all discussions read does not work well in social groups. Actually reading the last message in a social group thread is the only thing that seems to do so.
