Automatic announcements

Would you look into splitting off the automatic announcements folder on it's own?  I keep opening the announcement folder thinking you're announcing something, and it's just an automatic announcement.

Either that or see if this software can differentiate between a new post in the folder and a new post only in a subfolder, in the icon design.  For example: in SMF, new-in-subfolder would show a paler blue than new-in-folder.

They are in a forum of their own: Autogenerated Announcements. It's a subforum of the main announcements folder.

It does. If the post is in a subfolder the tiny image next to the sub-folder name (on the forum page) is brighter. SMF may have done it in a way you like better (or are just used to), but vBulletin is not SMF. Sorry.

But it looks identical when there are new posts in both the subforum and in the general folder, and when there are only new posts in the subforum.

I can adjust.

I'll take your word for it as I never look for new messages that way. I use New Posts up in the menu line (when Forum is selected).
