Latvian translation
« on: September 06, 2013, 09:20:53 am »
Else-thread, Jack had mentioned having come across stuff in Latvian and not having a ready translation, and I mentioned having a friend who I thought might be willing.

When I asked her, she lit up like a torch, and enthusiastically said she'd love to. She's a native Latvian speaker, speaks it routinely with her daughter and grandchildren (she was born in the US shortly after her parents emigrated if I remember right), and spends a couple of weeks every summer upstate New York learning (and sharing) native Latvian craft skills and food and other customs as well as travelling back there every few years.

She's not Pagan, but she's Pagan-friendly, she and I geek religion in general periodically, and she's widely knowledgeable about a range of other topics.

So. If you've got Latvian you'd like to have someone tell you about, ping me by PM and I'll put you in touch with her. (There are times of year when she's travelling and may not be handy for a few weeks.)
