What happened after first time praying to Odin
« on: January 08, 2013, 11:27:35 pm »
Okay well its a short story of sorts. Anyways I prayed before leaving the wire and we went to close down chunks of road to let VIP through. Anyways stationary targets are insanely easy to hit. Anyways this will explain it.

If it hit the metal above the window the round would of ricocheted and gone over my collar guard and below my helmet. Roughly 75 yards away I should of been a dead man.
A soldier doesn\'t fight because he hates the enemy in front of him. He fights because he loves what he left behind.

Glad someone was looking out for you. :)
The pace of progress in artificial intelligence (I’m not referring to narrow AI) is incredibly fast. [...] The risk of something seriously dangerous happening is in the five year timeframe. 10 years at most.--Elon Musk

I am in the camp that is concerned about super intelligence," [Bill] Gates wrote. "First the machines will do a lot of jobs for us and not be super intelligent. That should be positive if we manage it well. A few decades after that though the intelligence is strong enough to be a concern. I agree with Elon Musk and some others on this and don\'t understand why some people are not concerned."

Putting it simply someone wasn't looking out for him since I didn't miss.

Joy? Maybe I'm the only one who sees this phrase as a wee bit cruel, but whatever.

I'm not even sure what I'm looking at in that photo... is it a door? A boat? A... what? o.0

Thank you for your service.  I hope there is someone/thing that walks with you and is your shield of protection, and that you are kept safe.  There are no many out there that have the guts to walk your path.

To answer the question about what it is. It's a window in the gun turret of a super armored troop carrier to replace the Humvee it's called a Buffalo.
