Two days ago I activated Kenaz and since then I've been dealing with someone's intense anger. I work in the Mental Health Field with really unbalanced people.
***********

I tapped into Kenaz and sought for an answer. The following arose.

I want to know how to deal with other people's anger?
To utilize it towards Enlightenment
not detriment:

To light Halls
Warm Bodies
Cook Food
and Create Bonds

rather than

burn
fester
destroy
and fight.

How do I do that?

I use Kenaz, Laguz, and Wunjo.

How?

Rather than drowning it,
I create a soft buffer,
like a nest for a coal,
and then slowly snuff it out
by shifting the thoughts towards more joyful things.

It worked. Here's an image of my Bindrune.

This is one thing I've been coming across a lot recently:  the dual sides of many of the runes.  I think it is a knee jerk reaction to think about things in one light, but that same thing can mean completely different things in different situations.  I am reminded of the old truism that water is deadly to the drowning man but priceless to the man in the desert.  I also think that the level of intensity of the rune energy deeply impacts not only how it manifests in the world, but also how we experience it.  A candle to light your way in the dark is very different from a raging forest fire, and yet both are still flame.

I haven't shared any of my Rune Videos yet. I just connected with Laguz this morning, and this video is something I did afterwards. It talks about my experience in taping into its energy, and the posture and sound I work with.

I've watched a couple of your videos now, good stuff.

I use saliva in a lot of workings.  I do feel it builds a connection, as blood would...different but I wouldn't necessarily say weaker.  I think that some things are better for some focuses.  But I know that lots of people do not care for working with blood, and I would definitely use saliva (or another bodily fluid if you prefer) as an alternative for blood if you were unwilling/unable.

One of my rune sets is highly marked with saliva, as that was part of my carving process (used to soften the bone).  I haven't blooded it yet, though that has always been my intention.

I made my own rune set earlier this year. I did blood them after a few weeks of working with them and I have to say that this certainly had a positive effect on their accuracy.

I would not say weaker at all. It's just different. This was my first experience working with Saliva and it had the same effect/affect upon my environment and myself as activating the Rune with my Blood. At the same time, I do agree with Skumring: it has a very positive effect, not just in the accuracy of our readings, but in all ways we work with them.

Here's a poem I conceived while meditating with Laguz:

I like the fact that the Runes are a mystery –
a secret to unravel.

When I think of Laguz –
of water in its many forms,
I try to imagine what it meant to my ancestors
by hunting for clues in our Stories
Sagas
and Eddas,
while also envisioning the experience
by tapping into my genetic memory and re-member-Ing.

At the same time,
I'm also translating these powerful Runes into my life,
so of course it's filtered through my psychology
experience
knowledge
and understanding.

Water has many meanings,
from the feminine perspective
to the subconscious planes.

It's sensual
emotional
pleasurable,

it flows
and grows,

it heals
loves
nurtures,
invites peace and joy.

It's also obsessive:
flooding the mind.

It's sadness,
depression and stagnation;
and yet,
as we go deeper we find peace
stillness
unIty.

Blessing,

My plan for this thread is to share weekly insights, experiences, and/or beliefs arising from my Runic Journey. It’s my hope that in sharing it will start a dialog that will expand and deepen our knowledge of the Runes from the Pathworking perspective. I am not a Traditionalist, New Ager, or anything in between. I am myself and this is my Runic Path.

Be Blessed,
Frodi Ingsson

The following poem arose out of,
within,
and from my Tiwaz Meditations.
***************
Tiwaz is the big picture:
I've gained clarity
focus
will,

now,
Pure Dagaz

no Isa (obstruction)
no Hagalaz (chaotic/destructive force)
no Thurisaz (piercing desire) or Naudiz (in need),

just Wunjo & Gebo.

That's something to give a hand to
***************

You can listen to me read poem here:

This Runic Journey has been amazing – a blessings. I just tapped into Wunjo this morning. My Runic Power Object, that physical representation of Joy to me is my Family, and so I use an image of my Family as the key to open myself to Wunjo.

Here's a couple of poems arising from this morning's Wunjo Meditation Ritual:

************
Appreciation is a lovely way to touch in with joy.
************
I desire joy,
want joy,
2 B joy.

I AM JOY
************
There's an unrealness to it,
as if,
at any moment it will be stripped away;

and yet,
in the midst of that Blissful Joy,
is Fulfillment.
************
It's a consuming fire.
a blinding light.
************
Now,
in this state of joy,
I breathe in the wonders of the moment,
feeling lightness
and release of the heart
whose loving energies ripple throughout my body and mind.
************
I've noticed frustration
disappointment
even anger
when peace and joy are interrupted.

I'm above that now.

It's not that Hagalaz has ceased to exist,
it just doesn't ripple the peace and joy like it use to.
************

Here are the images of my Power Object:

Love the pic as a power object....I also love writing things on the backs of photos (or tucking symbols behind a photo in a frame).  Never really thought about making a portable version though, that is a great idea

It's a new practice to me. I rarely use images in my Work, and never a photo; for I'm a feeler. It's difficult for me to hold images in my mind's eye. But when it comes to feeling, I'm a natural empath.  Even so, Joy arises as soon as I look upon the image. It's pretty cool.

What's interesting to me is that I was having a difficult time discovering what my Wunjo Power Object would be. Usually something comes as soon as I begin thinking about the Rune. It wasn't until I actually sat down and started meditating on Wunjo and consciously remembering/recalling the experiences of Joy I've had in my life, that I realized my family, my kin, is one of the greatest sources of Joy in my life.

After that it only took a moment to figure out what my Power Object would be. And this particular picture captures an amazingly Powerful and Joy-filled Dagaz.
************
As I wrote the above two crows flew past my window.

I offered them a bagel:
they received my Gebo.
************

While seeking for riches
power
knowledge
understanding
compassion
and wisdom,

I'm experiencing Joy exponentially.

This is my first Futhark Poem

Each line is a Rune: start with Fehu and follow the traditional sequence to Othala.
**************

Moveable Wealth is our Bodies and Minds,
which are Strong
Powerful
Knowledgeable and Understanding.
With them we Move towards
Clarity and Pleasure
in a Balanced
and Joyful/Blissful Way.

Chaos and Unpredictable Change come
showing us what we Need,
and while it feels Stagnate, there's Stillness,
then Cyclical Movement
and Transformation via Life and Death,
and with that comes Chance and Uncertainty
which batters against our Protective Shields
as we receive the Sun's Blessings.

We Focus and Aim our attention
on Cultivation and New Life,
as we Intentionally Move towards
Connection and Growth,
which leads to Wholeness and Flowing
into the Well of our Being
where our True Selves Shine:
our Inheritance.

Blessings,

These are my Runes:

I'm going into the woods for three days and three nights. All three days will be focused on the Runes.  The third night will culminate in a shrum trip. I have no idea what to expect, other than, it will be Empowering.

Be Blessed,
Frodi Ingsson.
