I have been doing a lot of study into the Goddess Frigga and I have a question. Does anyone have any sources of sacred plants/animals to Her? I haven't been able to find any and I don't know if this is because nothing has survived or I am just not looking in the right location. Any help would be appreciated.

I think Frigg wears a falcon cloak at some point, just like Frejya. Other than that I do not recall anything.

I know some associate mistletoe with Frigg. My choice is flax (because of all the spinning associations) -- personally I don't think I'd like to be eternally associated with a plant that brought me so much grief.

The animals usually associated with Frigga in 'classical' art usually are the stork and young rams. I honestly am not certain where this came from, though, as I can think of nowhere in any of the lore where these are mentioned.

I would not think mistletoe would be associated with her at all, considering it was a dart of mistletoe that slew her son Baldr.

I tend to associate wool with Frigga and flax with Holda but they both spin. Since she is the goddess of motherhood and the home I would think keys could be used as a symbol for her as women wore the keys to the home on their belt. There is Frigga's Grass, Galium verum, that was used as a sedative related to child birth. She is also considered to have the ability to prophesy due to her understanding of weaving and spinning.

I've seen herons and ospreys associated with Frigga, but I'm not sure if this is a modern association or from classical art.  I'd infer that Marshland animals are sacred to Her since Fensalir is "Marsh Halls" or "Sea Halls".

In Classical art, She is shown with rams which makes sense since She is associated with weaving.

She also has a falcon/hawk cloak according to the Eddas.

Frigga's Grass is associated with Frigga.  The Galdrabok lists these names for them:  orchis odoratissima or satyrium albidium or habonaria hyperborea

I am the Goddess of Who I can Become. I mix the magic of the sorceress with the blade of a warrior. I walk the liminal pathways to see the face of the Goddess, both terrible and kind. As She stares back at me, I tremble in awe and ecstasy.  --SatAset

Depending on which Runes you associate with her, you could cross-reference them to the plants and animals associated with each as well. I'm only just getting into runes myself, or else I'd provide a list of suggestions, but the only one off the top of my head is Berkanan, which is "birch", which some people feel is a Motherly rune.
