* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Differences Between Anglo-Saxon and Norse Beliefs?
« on: August 29, 2011, 07:47:50 pm »
Well to start off I'm rather new to Heathenry I started getting interested mid-last year but I wasn't going to dedicate myself until I was sure it was right for me. I still dont consider myself a Heathen because it feels as if.....I haven't earned the right yet? If that makes sense. Anyways to my question.

What are the differences between the Anglo-Saxon beliefs and the Norse beliefs?

Do Anglo-Saxon Heathens believe in a world tree like Norse Heathens?

I know this is a really broad topic and it cant really be covered in one thread but I thought it might strike up some conversation and have me learn some stuff in the process. :o

Welcome to TC and the A&H SIG! :D

I'm no expert, but Anglo-Saxon Heathenry is known as Theodism. I would do a search on TC and the general internet to start with.

Thanks for the welcome and for straightening me out on that. Is there any websites/books in particular I should check out? I prefer to learn from books than the internet personally. :]

Most of the books written by Modern AsatrĂșars/Heathens are rubbish, IMO... There are threads on suggested reading in the heathen SIG on the old messageboard, as well as on this - there are also threads on sources to avoid.

Check out the website of Shane from AL, there is an article on Theodism:

That site does have some good info, it helped me better understand the concept of Wyrd. Interesting stuff. Thank you.
