You'll never catch me dead in a dress!!!!!

So here's the story: I'm not a girly person, IMO. Even though I am PHYSICALLY female, I don't consider myself such (I am gender neutral/gender fluid). Anyways, I always have said, no one will ever catch me dead in a dress...I just HATE wearing dresses. So I had a brilliant idea for a present I could give to my beloved, he's always wanted to see me in a dress, even though he knows I'd never wear one. So I'm making this:  http://voren.tumblr.com/post/105327816246/preliminary-dress-pre-sew and I will wear it for him, just because he think's he will never see me in a dress :whis: I haven't sewn anything together yet except for the top. I just wanted to share it! ^V^

That's lovely. I can't wait to see it finished! What's it going to look like when it's done? Do you take commissions? (Joking, probably...I probably can't afford custom made clothes right now.)

I'm not girly either, actually. I consider myself a nonbinary female. If I had to define my gender, I'd say "female, but...." Still, I actually love dresses - but only long, loose and flowy ones. I have an old standby red florally one that's got chiffon and busy print. I have to slither into the top of it, which makes me feel kind of sexy and empowered, but then I look in the mirror and go "OK. I'm not going to fall out of this." I also love broom skirts, but it's hard to find ones that aren't dry clean only.

It'll sort of look like what I laid out when it's done, except more finished, instead of sketched. I do take commissions. I like long and flowing better then poufy in shirts and skirts. I'll defanately post it when I'm done, (and my beloved's reaction as well :whis:) I'm hoping to have it done by Christmas, but I'm working very slowly on it because I want to make sure it's done correctly and done well. I usually make me shirts because no one else makes shirts long enough for me. :ashamed: I'd made my own Pj's too! For as thin as the fabric is, they are actually very warm! But yeah, I'll definitely show off a little when it's done.
