* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Author Topic: This is a song I wrote. It doesn't have a name yet and my title isn't very exciting.  (Read 845 times)

"Use of gratuitous offensive language. We are a PG-13 forum."

There are two questionable words in my song / poem. Just giving everyone a heads up. I wrote this after a couple involuntary stays at mental health facilities but before I stopped taking my meds and went to jail. I'm aware that my grammar is less than perfect but that's mostly just because it's a song instead of a poem. There is also weird punctuation because I use that to keep track of pauses in the lyrics when I'm playing.

goodnight to every sunrise and goodnight to every sunset
goodnight to every birthday present that i never did get
goodnight to working weekends and goodnight to working period
i never meant to take my life so goddamn fucking serious
goodnight to sitting in the house and drinking by myself
goodnight to blaming all my problems on somebody else
and goodnight to all the friends that i haven't seen in years
i still think about you sometimes if there's anyone who cares

goodnight to every bill i pay, goodnight to every drug i take
goodnight to every alley cat and goodnight to every alleyway
dulling sadness, living dead, my problems are all in my head
moving forward, i feel fine, it's easier to live that lie
a loving mother, an honest father; take two with a glass of water
meeting where the lines divide, take my pills as i'm prescribed
the blue one's for a worried mind, the green one's make us think alike
the red one's for a heart that aches, i hope my problems go away

I think a lot of songs have weird punctuation for that very reason.

I did rather like the lyrics because they said so much, and the "goodnight" could be interpreted on more than one level. That is to say, it might mean an end, but it might mean something more subtle - a specific mental process which would transform those specifics.
