It's time for our annual Server Donation Drive! We need to raise at least $710 to keep The Cauldron's server online for another year. Please help! Either hit that Paypal button to the right and make a one-time donation in any amount or set up a monthly Bronze, Silver or Gold Donor subscription. You can find more info in this message!

Donations as of 17 September 2020: $535 donated. Only $175 more need! Thank you, donors!

Note: This total is updated manually, usually once a day

* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

The Old Man by Wrynn

I went by the park today down by fishers' pond

the old man was there standing on the knoll in the evening summer sun,

I worried he was hot and weary, I worried that he may fall

for he has stood there for such a long time, I became very leary,

I wondered was the old man really that strong,

Indeed I had seen him many times before, always in the same place he was

watching the kids at play, watching them coming and going, watching them when they would run

I wondered if they ever noticed him, standing there so resolved, but withered and alone

everyday watching the sun rise in morning glory , when the children were asleep in their home

and they would never suspect that he sees more than that, for the old man could spin a yarn

of everything little thing they did, good or bad, when they gathered at the park down by fishers' pond,

nevertheless he watches them, and with no cares for the way of the world,

standing there on the knoll, for everyone who would come to see him with his arms folded and curled

Oh the secrets he could tell of me... when I was a child playing by that tree.
)o( Blessed be,
Wrynn Aethelraed
