Singing Beauty
« on: September 20, 2020, 02:13:43 pm »
Scarlet and gold cover the land
Warm spicy scents fill the air
Mountain laurel, sunshine, rich earth
As Bounty spills forth
Filling waiting hands
Singing
Her bassoon voice
drifts like morning mist
Ripe with meaning
Yielding seeds of choice
“We cradle creation
within our souls
Independent
Yet in harmony
We glide through the forest
Wade deep waters
Dance our prayers
in silence
in solitude
Unseen
Unheard
by watchful hunters
Graceful
We pass through thickest wilds
We appear
Caught by someone's roving eye
nibbling twigs, grass, leaves
Ungainly, awkward
Water lilies dripping from our lips
Splayed toes hard against the earth
Humped shoulders against the sky
Brave crown oft adorns my father's brow
Mother, fierce queen
crown intuitive, invisible
Looking forward and back,
Each with one eye
Born with open eyes
We see with open hearts
Nurturing, loving life
until our cups runneth over
We will teach you
to embrace yourself
to be fearless, resolute
When to stand your ground
When to fleetly depart
When to be gentle
When to be silent
When to be bold
When to speak out
Sing loud when it's
Time
for your story
to be told
Find within
Thine own endless grace
Be proud
Be humble
Walk in Beauty
So much more than skin deep
Proceed with steady pace
Strength unguessed you carry
Gifts unique to share
Yours alone
the power to choose
Run towards yourself
do not tarry
Mother your inner child
Make room
for your own growth
Yield
Trust
You know
Strength
You have
Power
You wield"

For those new to the game, each singing poem is inspired by a Teacher found in Nature; a star, stone, animal, plant etc that holds lessons of Wisdom for us. Once again, feeling uncertain of the title. The working title was Beauty Within. I considered Walking in Beauty and Beautiful Dreamer as well. Can you guess who is singing today?
Wishing you laughter

Congrats on naming this teacher! "Of all the wonders of nature, a tree in summer is perhaps the most remarkable; with the possible exception of a moose singing Embraceable You in spats." ~ Woody Allen

Largest of Family Cervidae (Deer), Where Deer teaches Loving Kindness and Universal Love, the Moose teaches us Self Compassion, Self Care and Acceptance. Like the Elk, she also teaches us to sing loud to attract what we want to manifest in our lives. Autumn is the time of this bountiful singer

Interestingly, I've had a few nudges here and there to look up spiritual meanings of moose, which I dismissed at first as it didn't seem obviously relevant to my path.   When this came up, I did a quick Google and found this: https://www.spirit-animals.com/moose-symbolism/

Aside from being fairly spot-on for me, buried down a ways in the comments is someone (who admittedly doesn't sound so well mentally) describing an encounter with my patron ( whom I very much hope was able to help) in close conjunction with a moose encounter.  They do seem to say some of the same things.  There are no moose where he's from, but he did move to the PNW, and moose tend to make a big impression.

Yes! Moose does tell us that we alone are the authors of our tale. Don't let anybody tell you that you are the best friend when you are clearly the leading lady of your own life! Good site :) Moose is a Northern Hemisphere only teacher, but we can all learn from her! Here is one of my favorite sites for all things symbolic https://www.whats-your-sign.com/symbolic-moose-facts.html
