Didn't hold a candle to what I went through getting the one on my thigh.>.<

How was the fish one?
Really?  So, hey, want to go fishing?  I\'ve got a telescope, and it\'s going to be a dark night, so we should see the fish really well.
...what, I\'m not talking about fishing?  That\'s stargazing?  It\'s all doing-stuff, so it\'s the same thing, right?

For fellow tattoo enthusiasts, a place to share the artwork on our skin canvas and to ask/answer questions pertaining to tattoos for those who are interested. :)

I'll start with a couple of my own.

Here's my pair - so far. Once I have some money to spare, have a couple more planned

Size of these is about 5" tall

Dragon on my left pec

Gryphon on my right pec

Shark didn't hurt at all. The entire thing is virtually over bone and the tattooist said I'd be squirming, but out of all of my tats that one gave me the least discomfort.

I like the harpy. ^^

All of mine have hurt, but not in an uncomfortable way if that makes any sense.

For most of mine, all I felt was the vibration from the needles. Any that had any discomfort went away after the first few minutes, except the thigh tat. That one just.. never ever went numb and it wasn't straight pain either. It was like being tickled to the point where it was excruciating pain, for 2 hours straight, and before that point I was never ticklish.. and now I am. o.0

I only have like, six. More planned.

That's my left arm, right after it was done in August. It's the Fortune card from the Gypsy Oracle Cards (ugh, and right after spending time explaining why that's a racial slur... fml. But I didn't name em.) and it sits right below my beloved Spider Jerusalem sun. It's the first colour piece I've had done. My cousin's husband did it. I think considering my username the reason for it is obvious.

I can't seem to find a good shot of my others up close. There is this shot, which is possibly NSFW - I am in underthings, although pretty much everything is obscured. Anyway, as you can see my right arm has a fair bit - the Spider Jerusalem moon, the 'witches making rain' woodcut, and going around the back is this.

That last one... I had it done in Dublin. I wanted something for the Morrigan, and I love Dave McKean so it seemed a natural match. Anyway, my sister and I go in for our appointments. It's only her second tattoo, and she gets THE nicest guy alive. "Oh, are ya comfortable, d'ye need water, etc etc."

My guy comes in. Hungover. Smoking. Clearly not supposed to be on that day. The only thing he said to me the entire time was: "Don't. Move." Still, he did a nice job!

Not pictured is the one below the back of my neck, and my first, which is... so 90s.

The most painful thing about my last one was not the needle. My artist is one of my best friends as well, and rather than go to her shop we did it at her house. It was not the most ideal set up and while she was doing the back of my arm she used my shoulder blade as a handy dandy resting spot for her elbow. Pretty much putting all her body weight on that pointy elbow...... my shoulder blade hurt for a week.

This is the Brighid's cross on the back of my left hand:

And this is the family tat my husband, daughters, and I all got about a year ago:

I have others (including one done all in brown to look like henna and based on my avatar here, which you can see on my wrist to the far left of the pic of the family tats), but don't have good pics at the moment.
The one that hurt the most -- by far! -- is the small one on my sternum.  That was awful!!! And it needs to be touched up.  Sigh...

I also have a couple more planned for if/when I ever have the extra money.  Not looking good at this point.

I'm doing this post on Tapatalk, so I'm not sure if the pics will work.

Thank you! I've been lucky that my artists have all been pretty awesome, except for the very first one. (But I was seventeen. I didn't know better. Thank goodness it's small - I have a friend who has just the worst tattoos EVER, and one of them takes up most of his back.)

The next one I plan to get is Belladonna and Monkshood. My sister will get the same thing. ...aaaand probably a traditional 'mother' heart tattoo at some point. XD

I've about 8 so far, but only handy pics of a few of them....

...I foresee 2013 bringing a couple more as well if I get around to it. Priority is a pain sometimes as it's rarely we can spoil ourselves!

Oh for me, she does it just for the cost of ink and needles. So about 10 bucks per tattoo. I am also apprenticing under her.
