2019 Donation Drive

It's time for our annual Server Donation Drive! We need to raise at least $650 (same as last year) to keep The Cauldron's server online for another year. Please help! Either hit that Paypal button to the right and make a one-time donation in any amount or set up a monthly Bronze, Silver or Gold Donor subscription. You can find more info in this message!

Donations as of 13 Sept 2019: $656 donated. $6 more our minimum goal! Let's beat last year's total of $99 more than the minimum!

Note: This total is updated manually, usually once a day

* "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" Problem Logging In?

If you get an "Unable to verify referring url. Please go back and try again" error when you try to log in, you need to be sure you are accessing the board with a url that starts with "https://ecauldron.com".  If it starts with https://www.ecauldron.com" (or "http://www.ecauldron.com") you will get this error because "www.ecauldron.com" is not technically the same website as "ecauldron.com". Moving to the more secure "https" means it is more picky about such things.

Inktober 2018
« on: September 30, 2018, 04:41:58 pm »
It's Inktober time again!

THE RULES

1) Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want).
2) Post it (here, on instagram, on tumblr, share your art with the world!)
3) Hashtag it with #inktober and #inktober2018
4) Repeat.

The general gist of it is that there are 31 prompts (some examples here here and here) for each day of October. You do a drawing based on that theme for the day, in traditional ink media (rather than pencil or digital) and then you share it!

It's a good way for artists to break out of their habits, experiment, and commit to a daily drawing practice! I know for me I'm primarily a digital artist, so forcing myself to use ink pens, markers and watercolor is a break from my norm.

I myself am going to be using the Elves prompt list (because of course I am) as well as the great list of Sigil Prompts TC member Eastling made.

Please share your art for inktober in this thread! I can't wait to see what you all draw this month.

I don't believe in prompts but I'm gonna try to do some art for my Neverending Unfinished Deck Project.

I'm doing two prompt lists because I hate myself, though now looking at the Sigiltober prompt list...sigh. Ok, 3 prompt lists.

(I mean if I had NOTHING on my plate for October, then 2 or even 3 lists, whatever. But, you know. Full-time classes. A lot of other crap. Inktober being an opportunity for me to stretch my drawing muscles as drawing is not something I do on a regular basis, and when I can't get down what I see in my head I get very frustrated. Just...yeah, this was a foolish decision on my part.)

The other two are the #InkWorldBuild  #31DayWorldBuild challenge by _lonelytofu_ on Twitter, and the  Witch-themed prompts by mezzogram on Instagram (M377O on Twitter).

And I'm already behind! I've only done Day 1 of the InkWorldBuild; working on Day 1 of the Witch-themed one.

I'll be posting on my writer Instagram and my witch Instagram, as well as my Patreon feeds.

Edited to "fix" the Instagram auto-embed.
