Everything begins and ends
With carrion and ashes
It all comes down to
Bones and dust

The new land,
the new time,
the new life
is built always
from blood
and earth

Morrigan , Brighid
I bring you the carrion and ashes,
the rich blood and fertile earth
of all I have ever been

Thickening crimson and ravaging heat
Beginnings as endings
Endings as beginnings

There would be no green shoots
No food on the table
No home to place a hearth in
Nothing worth fighting for

Without
Carrion and ashes

I really like the sense of this --- I've been thinking along similar lines as I look for possible theories as to why so many people now work with both Brighid and tM.  They do seem to complete each other in a way: Brighid's creation and newness are inherently tied to the destruction of whatever went before.

I love this. Your free verse has a lovely underlying rhythm to it. I appreciate the philosophy, too.

Thank you I think for me it's about how Brighid and Morrigan both have creative and destructive aspects and  creation and destruction follow each other in cycles
