Art of the Gods
« on: January 06, 2018, 10:09:03 am »
A friend from work with a really good eye snapped this strikingly composed photo the day before yesterday, during the snowstorm. This is the view from inside one of New York's landmarks, looking out: from a Rockefeller Center office building, you can see the statue of Atlas holding up the world framed in the windows, and beyond that (in an interesting religious juxtaposition), the front of St. Patrick's Cathedral--all of it ghosted by the swirling snow.

The first song sets the wheel in motion / The second is a song of love / The third song tells of Her devotion / The fourth cries joy from the sky above
The fifth song binds our fate to silence / and bids us live each moment well / The sixth unleashes rage and violence / The seventh song has truth to tell
The last song echoes through the ages / to ask its question all night long / And close the circle on these pages / These, the metamythos songs

Oh wow this is so good. I've been into architecture lately and read that when making a building you have to compose the windows views like you would compose a painting. This is an amazing application of this. Thank you for sharing!

-- Atlas holding up the world--

Good thing he's not shrugging. Because that'd be totally Rand-om.
