Lady Justice is seated on her stone throne which is placed between two stone pillars, showing that she deals with “hard facts”, as she tries to balance her outlook upon them. She wears a golden crown, symbolizing her authority, and a gown of red to symbolize her readiness for action if need be. in her left hand, she holds up a scale, again a symbol of balance, and, in her right, she is holding an upright sword, a reminder that she will do whatever is necessary to maintain that balance. She symbolizes The Universe and the way it works to maintain balance in everything.

We often think there are things in our life which are unfair, things we feel we just don’t deserve. The fact is, we reap what we have sown, either in our past from this life, or karma that we brought with us into this life. Remember, The Universe MUST keep things in balance. As I said about the Wheel of Fortune, “what goes around, comes around”; our experience today is just as it should be, either to balance a previous action or to teach us a lesson that we, from a higher level, chose to learn right now. Whatever happens, we live in an unfailingly just Universe. Our experience day by day is the way we are supposed to experience it.

Now, a lesson to learn… We most usually get exactly what we don’t want from day to day. Here’s the lesson… A major lesson in life is the lesson of acceptance. When we can accept our circumstances, understand that this is where we are supposed to be right now, we can stop putting our energy to the negativity that bring it about in the first place. Our thinking becomes more positive and so does our life. The Universe has no interest in what we choose by our thoughts; It just keeps balance by giving you what you think about, where our energy is. And–there is nothing that generates as much energy as resistance, anger, or feeling sorry for ourselves.

When you meditate on “Justice”, let it help you remember that we live in an unfailingly just Universe, and it WILL maintain balance whether we like it or not. Once we can accept that, our life becomes much more comfortable and happy…
