Legacy of the Divine Deck
« on: August 14, 2011, 07:02:56 pm »
I use Ciro Marchetti's Legacy of the Divine deck, and I absolutely adore it. Does anyone else out here have it, or have you had any experience with it?

My first deck was NOT right for me. I didn't like the pictures, the symbolism was so vague, and the minor arcana were just the suits. No extra detail, nothing. It was so difficult for me to do a reading with them. But with Legacy, it comes to me like nothing. I love it. =)

This deck? I've never see it, but the cards shown look beautiful.

After the Gilded deck, with which I absolutely could not connect, I'm leery of anything Marchetti puts out. It was pretty, but it made absolutely no sense to me. I've looked at Legacy, but it doesn't speak to me.

Yes, that one! The artwork is even more breathtaking in person. =)

If the cards don't connect with you, then it's probably a good idea that you don't use them. That was my problem with my first deck. =/ very pretty, but no communication. Just out of curiosity, what kind of decks appeal to you?

I don't think I really have a type--it depends so much on the individual deck. (And I'm a collector, so I've loved plenty of decks in my time.) My current collection consists of Lo Scarabeo's Celtic and Tarot of the Druids decks, the Shadowscapes deck, Universal Fantasy, Paulina, Tarot Art Nouveau, Hanson-Roberts, and my all-time favorite, the Tattooed Tarot.
