So I got off my butt and started the spiritual-art blog I've been thinking about. It's still very much under construction, but the watercolor I mentioned is posted:

http://sefirusworkshop.wordpress.com/2014/03/01/neb-y-an-image/

I like the picture.  Is that a key Set is holding?

Yep. An Ankh-shaped key. I associate keys with Neb.y Set both because He is Master of the Ordeal, and because of the more, ahem, masculine symbolism.

Do any of you do artwork for your gods?

If so, it'd be awesome if you could post it (or a link to it) here! And the artwork doesn't have to just be drawing/painting/sculpting; it could be photography or photoshop or writing or heck, even embroidery!

I'm gonna go ahead and put in a couple links here.

Anyway, can't wait to see what gets put here! :)

I do a lot of artwork based around my deities, including sculpture work And tattoo designs. I feel that art helps me get closer to my Gods.

IArtwork For Your Gods?

I used to do quite a lot, a while back. I still do, but more of doodles and sketches. Back when I was first getting serious about Paganism, like around 2008 through 2010 or so, I did a lot of artwork as a devotional act. Usually depictions of the Wiccan mythological cycle, and the Horned God in particular.
I'll share some in a few.

some figurines of Sokar which I still have to paint. (One of them is going in my studio space, and the other on my monitor at work.)

I got these finished, they turned out really nice. Picture is here:

Those turned out really, really awesome!

I have taken to painting seashells lately. While they are not tied to a particular deity, they are tied to the overall pantheon I work with the most. Here is my favorite of them:

When battling (and losing the battle to) insomnia last week I wrote some poetry to Loki. One poem had each stanza as a haiku, and the other was just me writing, for lack of a better way to put it. I love to write, so I set aside a notebook to use as a collection of writing dedicated to the Gods; in this case, it's both for the Norse pantheon and any other God/dess who may want me to work with Them.

I just want to preface the poem by saying that yes, I was a Marvel!Loki and Tom Hiddleston fangirl before I recently began exploring Norse Polytheism, but no, my fangirling has nothing to do with my exploration of Norse Polytheism. It's just a coincidence, I swear.

You knew what You were doing all along
"There! That one! That fangirl
Of my pop-culture counterpart!"
If, in jest,
An uncultured heathen I call myself,
Someone, somewhere,
Is bound to take notice
You did, O Treader of Skies
I'm sure You smiled and laughed
And said to Yourself
"Challenge accepted!"
And in my quest for knowledge
I was drawn to Your path
You knew what You were doing
I ain't even mad

That's actually really sweet! :) Made me giggle a bit, too.

I have a WIP of a work of Odins animals. I did the composition in Photoshop, but I would love to do an oil painting if I can set up a work place where I won't be bothered by the fumes :) I'll get some rainbow colors in there, or perhaps a fire... TBH I have not yet decided.

Out in the woods, and I\'m not alone, but the sun\'s quickly going down!
There! In the trees! Something stalking me! Stop walking around!
\'K, just be cool, don\'t be such a fool! There is nothing at all to fear...
... other than the trees and the night and a beam of light, and the breathing in my ear...

I really like this picture, your wolves in particular are really quite good! If you apply colors, I would be interested in seeing how it turns out ... even as a greyscale, it looks good, and has a strong connection to Odin :-)

Here is a link to a blog post I wrote about, titled How we see our gods, that has a couple of examples of graphics I have made with the gods in mind, and my thoughts about the appearance of the gods from my personal perspective. As well, in my blog, I write the occasional tanka poem ... these are always done with an aspect of Nature in mind and, as I consider Nature to be the supreme being, it's safe to say that these are devotional works of art, as well.
